As a typical bride to be I had a great deal of planning and organising to do. My make up for the day was something I was putting off arranging as I was apprehensive about booking an appointment with someone who would make me look like a 'painted doll', my fiance also was adamant that he wanted me to look as I did when we met, not overly made up. When I spoke to Carol after seeing her advertisement all my concerns were soon put to rest. She took time to explain to me that the products she used contained natural minerals which would give me a natural looking finish. I booked a make up lesson for myself, my two bridesmaids and my mum as a 'girlie evening'. I didn't really have the time to do this with all the organising, however I would strongly recommend that brides take time out to do this. The evening was a great opportunity to meet Carol, get used to using the make up and for myself, bridesmaids and my mum, to get together with a bottle of wine to talk about something other than the wedding. Both my bridesmaids phoned me the following day to say how much they enjoyed the evening, even my bridesmaid who very rarely wears make up had a great time experimenting with the make up. While I was having the rehearsal session Carol spent time putting me at ease, explaining about the make up and trying as many different shades as I wanted to. On the day of the wedding I was glad that I had the evening session as it is like having a friend to do our make up, the atmosphere was so relaxed. During the few months prior to my wedding, I have been using the make up Carol uses and I would never use anything else now. Carol has also become more of a friend than a make up artist to us all. I will definitely have more make up lessons with my friends. I would like to say a big thank you to Carol at Amazing Grace for being part of my wedding preparations and for making us all look so nice on the day in a natural way.
